For the past year, advisors at Waddell & Reed have delved into the fascinating findings of GenLink℠, a value-add program that can help cement a loyal client base through understanding the five living generations.
The financial services industry has taken note as well. On Oct. 18, 2016, the GenLink program won a Star Award from the Mutual Fund Education Alliance for Advisor Communications Campaign —Medium Asset Level category.
With GenLink, Waddell & Reed offers advisors access to a wealth of information that potentially can give them an advantage in retaining generational wealth and building relationships across the generations. The program communicates its findings through comprehensive reports, articles, infographics, conversation starters, presentations and videos.
GenLink resources continue to grow as Waddell & Reed adds topics and resources through its partnership with BridgeWorks, a consulting and research firm dedicated to the study of generational dynamics.
The STAR Awards program honors the mutual fund industry for its efforts to communicate with and market to investors in ways that support their investment goals. For 20 years, the STAR Awards program has been distinguished as the premier mutual fund industry competition, one which encourages excellence and fosters improvement and innovation. To be considered for a Star Award, fund companies submit nominations, along with an entry fee, which are judged based on effectiveness, message, educational value, innovation, user experience and design. Judges are selected by the MFEA and include industry executives in marketing, communications and design.
